The Beaver Motto

Be Prepared

Beavers do not have their own law but we encourage members to be aware of the cub and scout laws and to begin to follow these.  As the youngest section in the movement, Beavers also do not make the same promise as the older groups, however it is important to make a commitment to the Scout Movement and to begin to understand what being part of this involves.  Our main aim for this age group is to have fun and enjoy being with a group of people of similar ages but that meet with a purpose.  We enjoy a wide range of activities from arts and crafts through to sleepovers and visits.  Recent events include a sleepover at The Deep in Hull and a visit to Retford Fire Station

There are also a range of Badges that the children can earn for a variety of activites and challenges and we are always keen to incorporate these in our program.  Some can be earned at home with a little help from grownups and some are earned as a group with all the children working together for the same goal.  Details of all the Beaver badges can be found on the Beaver section of Scoutbase, the official website for The Scout Organisation, there is a link to this on our links page.
